A few years ago, I wrote a book, but it never worked the way I'd envisaged. I went back to it recently, armed with a lot more experience, and immediately saw how I could turn it into the novel I'd always hoped it would be. I completely rewrote it during the second lockdown and am very proud of the result. THE GIRL BEYOND FOREVER is an action-packed contemporary supernatural tale, and if you've ever wanted a cross between Lee Child and Stephen King, this is your book. I've got a packed upcoming schedule, so rather than publishing conventionally, I thought I'd say thanks to my readers for their support and give the book away to newsletter subscribers. It's a small expression of appreciation from a grateful author.
You don't have to do anything to get this book. The final proof is being edited and you'll be sent a link with details of how to download in any digital format in a few days. A dark Christmas present I guess. I can't believe it's that time of year already! I recently had the pleasure of talking to debut author Amen Alonge about his new thriller A GOOD DAY TO DIE as part of the Quercus Word of Mouth showcase. Amen shared the inspiration for the novel and told a fantastic story about how he met his wife on the London Underground. It's a firecracker of a book, so keep an eye out for it when it publishes in February. CURRENT READS It's been a very busy month, so I haven't been reading as much as usual. I really enjoyed A LOYAL TRAITOR by Tim Glister. It's a great book for anyone who wants to delve into the world of Cold War espionage. I've just started THE INTERVIEW by Chris Ewan and am enjoying it so far. I'll be back soon with more details about THE OTHER SIDE OF NIGHT, my new standalone, which will be published in September 2022. I know I'm biased, but it really is a special book and quite different from anything I've written before. I can't wait to share it with you. I'll also be running a festive competition exclusively for members of the Readers Club, so stay tuned. Until then, very best wishes to you and yours Adam |
