ABOUTAdam Hamdy is a British screenwriter, producer and international bestselling novelist who works with networks, studios and production companies all over the world. The author of 16 novels including 6 books in the multi-million bestselling PRIVATE series co-written with James Patterson, Adam is published by four of the big five publishers. His most recent novel DEADBEAT was described by Publishers Weekly as ‘a superlative thriller’ and his standalone book THE OTHER SIDE OF NIGHT was one of the New York Times Best Thrillers of 2023 and appeared on several best books of the year lists.
As a screenwriter, his original feature, THE FEAR IN THEIR EYES, is scheduled to shoot in Canada in 2025. He is currently developing the screen adaptation of his SCOTT PEARCE novels with Ringside Studios. Adam recently produced OCEAN STAR, a feature documentary about young people in Mauritius, which has been screened in competition and nominated for awards at a number of international film festivals. Prior to embarking on his writing career, Adam was a strategy consultant and advised global businesses in the medical systems, pharmaceutical, robotics, technology and financial services sectors. Adam has a degree in Law from Oxford University and a degree in Philosophy from the University of London. He is a seasoned skier, rock climber, CPSA gold marksman, and motorcyclist. He has taught creative writing courses in the UK and US, co-founded one of the UK's largest literary festivals, Capital Crime, and has served on the board of the International Thriller Writers Organization.
